Dr Kumar is a Board-Certified Lifestyle Medicine Physician with over 30 years of medical experience. His unique background combines anaesthesiology with a passion for preventative care and optimising health spans.
Dr. Kumar holds an MBBS from India and is a Member of the Royal College of Anaesthetists and a Fellow of the College of Anaesthetists Ireland. He is certified by the International Board of Lifestyle Medicine (USA) and the British Society of Lifestyle Medicine (UK). His expertise is further enhanced by certifications as a Master Health Coach and Precision Nutrition Coach.
As a Former Lead Tutor at the British Society of Lifestyle Medicine, Dr. Kumar mentored aspiring lifestyle medicine physicians & practitioners. He contributes significantly to the field through his involvement in the BSLM Learning Academy and as Lead on the Special Interest Group on Prehabilitation. He serves as an Honorary Ambassador for the Personalised Care Institute and advises the UK & International Health Coaches Association.
Dr. Kumar is Vice Chair for Health and Wellbeing at the British Association of Physicians of Indian Origin and a faculty trainer for NHS England. He focuses on burnout prevention and resilience.
